     *FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS DURING THE COMMUNITY FORUM: If you wish to address the Board in public comment regarding an item on the agenda only, please email aberk@uplifteducation.org before 8 a.m. of the day of the Board meeting you wish to speak at. Comments submitted and received by 8 a.m. on the day of the meeting you wish to speak at will be reviewed for compliance with law and policy prior to the meeting. Comments submitted after 8 a.m. on the day of the meeting you wish to speak at will not be accepted for the meeting.  Please note, all public comments are limited to three (3) minutes maximum.

    Community Forum Rules and Procedures:

    • Speakers will have three (3) minutes speak.
    • Only those persons who registered to speak per the rules on the posted agenda may address the Board.
    • Speakers will be called in the order they registered to speak.
    • Only the person who registered to speak, may address the Board. There will be no substitution of speakers.
    • Groups consisting of two or more persons shall appoint on person to address the Board.
    • The Community Forum is not a Q&A session with the Board; rather, speakers will have three (3) minutes to provide commentary to the Board.

    The Board appreciates respectful, courteous, and professional behavior from speakers and other attendees.  It is a violation of law to breach the peace during Uplift Education board meetings.   Attendees breaching the peace will be warned, asked to leave the meeting or district property, or cited or arrested by police, as well as prohibited, at the discretion of the Uplift Board or Uplift Administration, from attending future Uplift Board meetings.

    *The Board Executive Committee is comprised of the Board's voting members.  The full Board is comprised of the Executive Committee and non-voting Trustees.    

    *Please note the Board may call special or emergency meetings in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, which may not be listed above.

    *Agendas for all meetings will be posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
